Welcome to Lakeside Netball Club

Lakeside Netball Club is a friendly, inclusive community for netball players of all ages, genders, skill levels and backgrounds. Whether you’re new to the game or looking to take your skills further, you’ll find a place here.

We’re about more than just netball. Our club is built on respect, fairness and inclusion, creating a positive environment where every member feels valued. All players and families are expected to uphold our Code of Conduct, helping ensure a supportive experience for everyone.

Lakeside competes in the Darebin Netball Association competition at Narrandjeri Stadium in Thornbury. With over 35 years of history, we’ve grown to 21 teams across six divisions—offering opportunities for players at every stage.

Games

Our seasons run across the year:

  • Season 1: Terms 1 & 2

  • Season 2: Terms 3 & 4

Games are played on Saturday mornings at Narrandjeri Stadium (281 Darebin Rd, Thornbury). Typical game times are:

  • U9: 8:00 am (minimum Grade 2)

  • U11: 8:50 am or 9:36 am

  • U13: 10:22 am or 11:08 am

  • U15: 11:08 am or 11:54 am

  • U17: 11:54 am or 12:40 pm

  • Open/18+: 12:40 pm or 1:30 pm

 

Times may vary slightly as the competition grows.

 

Training

Weekly training is held at Narrandjeri Stadium on Friday afternoons:

  • 4:00–5:00 pm

  • 5:00–6:00 pm

 

Our volunteer coaches bring experience, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for developing players. They’re committed to helping every athlete build confidence, improve their skills and enjoy the game.
